Today we finished drawing the second part and have started to print it. So far it is taking 2 hours.
Next class we will have several parts drawn out.

2-21-2020

Since the first piece was drawn we started to make all of the other parts of the tracker to the proportion of the first piece. The piece on top interlocks with the base. Soon all the pieces will be drawn and 3d printing takes a while which will start after the drawings are done for each piece.

Today we printed the first piece to test it out and see how it looks. The dimensions were kind of guessed on. When it finished printing it came out well. Since we decided to make the dimensions in mm instead of cm the thickness was messed up so it would have to be redone.

Due to there being a college fair at school we could not work on the project. There were some interesting schools but they are not my choice.

The list was finalized today and the parts are also ordered. The parts should be here by Wednesday and ready to build on Friday.

Today most of the materials on this list. The list is going to be compacted and the pricing is going to be found for each item. The budget will be created and the parts will be ordered next time. Also, the 3D printed parts will be drawn next class.

My partner who is the brains of the project is not here so I decided to work on finding all the materials needed for the project and some extra materials that may or may not be used. There is a basic idea of how the project will be built. The following thing that we will do next time is go over the materials from today and check what is missing and needs to be added to the list. Also, figure out how we will get the materials needed.
